Gap Year New Zealand :: your questions :: Should I take my laptop with me?

Should I take my laptop with me?

Ony take your laptop if you really need to as the weight and worry of losing it may end up spoiling your trip. Make sure you take out adequate insurance.

On the upside, it will let you download and burn your photos and also use the internet. There are now lots of internet hotspots in New Zealand in Starbucks and other cafes - some are free and others you buy prepay cards. The majority of internet cafes also have places where you can plug your laptop in.
